BIOMEDICAL ENGINEERING / BIOENGINEERING

Our bioengineering research division performs R&D studies on biomedical systems for chemical and pharmaceutical manufacturing areas. We focus on the recent advances that improve human health via different applications. Synthesis of new drug systems and analysis on biological materials are studied in our R&D Center for our biotechnological future projects.

OPTICS ENGINEERING

We model, design and simulate optical design for intraocular lenses of different functions, addressing the requirements of ophthalmologists and the patients. Innovative optics for monofocal, bifocal, trifocal and toric lenses are created to improve the patients’ vision quality. Optical analyses with special laser systems and bench tests are performed in our R&D laboratories as well as international institutions. The world’s first and only patented technology SVTTM (Sinusoidal Vision Technology) on trifocal intraocular lenses was introduced to the global market as a result of development studies in our R&D Center.

Mechanical design and development of all product portfolio are realized internally in our R&D Center by our mechanical and biomechanical engineering teams. We conduct research and development activities for intraocular lenses’ and injector systems mechanical design, as well as their mechanical tests and analyses. PROJECT MANAGEMENT

Research and Product development projects are followed by the Project Team, following waterfall method formed according to the recent regulations. Starting from customer surveys and risk analysis, design and development teams work together with the project management in order to increase the efficiency of especially the critical launch phase.
